Correct me if I?m wrong, but I don?t think anyone this high profile has ever left the Church of Scientology. After speculation she left the controversial religion, Leah Remini confirmed her departure to US Weekly.

According to the publication?s source, she is making a breaking from the church after facing years of ?interrogations? and ?thought modification? for questioning leader David Miscavige?s rule. Specifically, she ?questioned the validity of excommunication of people,? the source says. ?She thinks no religion should tear apart a family or abuse someone under the umbrella of ?religion.??

The King of Queen actress? skepticism reportedly began, funny enough, at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? wedding. She supposedly asked the whereabouts of David Miscavige?s wife, Shelly, who, subsequently, has reportedly not been seen in public since 2007. I wonder if she?s going to lose her famous Scientologist friends now that she?s left the church. When Suri Cruise was born, she was one of the first people to see Tom?s daughter.
